Pineapple Bake
This Pineapple Bake is a sweet and savory Southern-style side dish that pairs perfectly with ham, turkey, or roast pork! Made with crushed pineapple, buttery breadcrumbs, and a touch of brown sugar, it’s baked until golden and caramelized. Perfect for holidays, Sunday dinners, or potlucks!
Ingredients
- 1 can 20 oz / 560 g crushed pineapple, undrained
- ½ cup 115 g unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup 200 g granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs beaten
- 5 slices white bread cubed (about 2½ cups)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a medium baking dish (about 8×8-inch or similar).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed pineapple with its juice, melted butter, sugar, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until fully blended.

Gently fold in the bread cubes, making sure they are evenly coated with the pineapple mixture.

Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before serving warm.
