CROCKPOT BUTTER NOODLES
This Crockpot Butter Noodles recipe features tender noodles tossed with creamy butter, savory seasonings, and Parmesan for rich comfort food. An easy slow cooker side dish perfect for holidays, potlucks, or family dinners.
Ingredients
- 12 oz 340 g egg noodles
- 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- ½ cup unsalted butter cut into pieces
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional
Instructions
-
Add the broth and butter: Pour the chicken broth into the crockpot. Add the butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
-
Cook the broth mixture: Cover and cook on LOW for about 1½–2 hours, or until the butter has melted and the mixture is hot.
-
Add the noodles: Stir in the uncooked egg noodles, making sure they’re mostly covered by the hot broth.
-
Continue cooking: Cover and cook on LOW for another 30–45 minutes, stirring once or twice, until the noodles are tender. Keep an eye on them toward the end so they don’t overcook.
-
Finish with Parmesan: Turn off the crockpot and stir in the Parmesan cheese. Let the noodles sit for 3–5 minutes so the sauce can thicken slightly.
-
Serve: Taste and adjust the salt and pepper. Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
