Cordon Bleu Crescent Ring

Ingredients

  • 2 cans 8 oz each refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast shredded or diced
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare filling
  • In a large bowl, mix the chicken, ham, Swiss cheese, cream cheese, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Arrange dough
  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. On the prepared baking sheet, arrange them in a circle with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points facing outward (like a sun shape).
  • Add filling
  • Spoon the chicken mixture evenly around the ring, over the overlapping dough base.
  • Form the ring
  • Bring the pointed ends of the dough up and over the filling, tucking them under the center to secure and form a ring.
  • Brush and bake
  • Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  • Cool slightly
  • Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired.
